Scuba Dive Shops are to provide an updated list of all your instructors and their current contact information including their cell number and email address

 

Dive Instructors

Please be sure students sign liability forms and pay their fees upon entering camp and before entering lake.

 

Students & Guests

 

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW BEFORE YOU COME

LIABILITY FORMS: Instructors, divers, and/or guests, (including minors) are required to sign a Liability form (which you can download here). Please include the Date, Dive Shop and Instructor’s names on the form.  If management is not onsite please deposit signed liability form(s) and fee(s) in envelop and drop into the black dropbox with slot.

If it is a 2 day dive, a liability form must be filled out for each day.

FEES: Diver’s fee is $15.00 per diver per day and must be paid before you enter the water to dive. All checks are to be made out to: Orange Blossom Baptist Association, (OBBA).

No charge - Dive instructors and dive masters instructing students only. 

WRISTBANDS: During the weekends wristband will be given upon collection of fee. Please be sure they are worn at all times. Anyone caught not wearing a wristband will be ask to leave the premises.

ENTRANCE AND PARKING: Entrance is on the east end of the camp. Parking is limited therefore please park perpendicular to the fence and as close as you can to next vehicle. Overflow parking is available on the north side of the wood fence.

No parking in the Unloading Zone (next to the concrete pad basketball court).

Although we will do all we can to keep your cars and equipment safe, we make no guarantees. You park and dive at your own risk.

Parking is subject to change during camp sessions. The field used for parking is also the activity field for our students. Please carpool as much as possible during the summer months when we have camps and are at our highest occupancy rate. If parking is not available we may direct you to an alternative parking area.

FACILITIES: Port-a-Johns, changing shed and picnic tables are provided. Picnic tables are for instructor’s use only. There is no seating available. We recommend you bring a lawn chair for your enjoyment.

CAMPING STUDENT SAFETY: For our student’s safety please do NOT talk to them nor venture onto their side of the camp. Please stay on the east side of the fence in the diver’s designated area.

LOST AND FOUND: Items left at the camp will be held in lost and found for 30 days, Please gather all of your belongings before you leave and double check the diver changing area and parking area. Items left in lost and found after 30 days will be donated to charity.

YOUR SAFETY AND RESPONSIBILITY: Please be aware we are not a scuba diving training facility and are in no way responsible for the certification of dive instructors. The camp only provides parking, changing facilities, entry into the lake, and port-a-johns for your convenience. It is your responsibility to make sure the dive shop and/or your instructor is certified with the appropriate agencies. 

Watercraft vehicles use the lake and may not be aware of your diving presence. Be sure to use diving flags for your safety. 

Please be aware there are hazards on the property (both on land, and above and below water level) that may not be marked. This includes but not limited to: extremely hot, humid or stormy weather; loose rocks; fallen timber; potholes; tree roots; fire; venomous, stinging or disease carrying animals or insects; poisonous plants; dangerous animals, including alligators and snakes; and other natural or man-made hazards and dangers.

No alcohol, smoking or pets allowed except service animals.

No swimming allowed except divers.

TRAFFIC SAFETY: The camp is situated in a nice quiet neighborhood where children and residence enjoy the quiet streets of their community.  Please respect our neighbors by obeying safe traffic guidelines and the 25 mph speed limit.  

CAMP & SCHOLARSHIPS: Funds collected are used to maintain the camp, and fund camp WAKATAKA children’s scholarships.
